2021 Thousand Hills Baptist Association Co-ed Pinewood Derby
March 7, Omaha Baptist Church, Unionville, at 1:30

The Omaha Baptist Church invites association churches to their Pinewood Derby, Sunday afternoon, March 7 at 1:30 PM.  There will be a soup and sandwich lunch prior to the derby and all are welcome to come and eat or just arrive for the derby. The Omaha Baptist Church is located at 40056 Petty Mill Tr, Unionville.  It is in the village of Omaha which is located on Hwy 149 north of Hwy 135 just a mile or so south of Iowa/Missouri border.

The church says kids are welcome to bring a car from a previous year derby or they can build a new one. Derby car kits are available to purchase from THBA by calling the director of missions (660-342-7658) and arranging a pick up time.  The car kits are $6.  You don’t have a lot of time to build a car between now and the derby so make car kit purchases soon.

Congregation Urged to Bring Used Literature For Love Packages

Love Packages is a ministry in Butler, IL which collects Christian literature and ships it to English-speaking countries around the world.  In 2018 they shipped 1,592 tons (3,184,000 pounds) of literature to countries like the Philippines, South Africa, and Ghana.  It is estimated that every piece of literature on the mission field will have an average of 20 reads.  We can help by collecting our used Sunday School literature, magazines, books (non-fiction), Bibles, tracts, devotionals, etc.   This won't cost you anything and is a great way to recycle materials for the Kingdom!  Bring it to church and put it in the box in the Sunday School room off the foyer.  You can learn more about Love Packages at https://lovepackages.org/
